We Are Here For You During COVID-19

Hello!

It is important to cover a few topics today, but first and foremost I want to send out love to those who are in the healthcare field, working to combat the effects of the CO-VID 19 outbreak, and to all others who are staying responsible and reducing the spread of the virus.

The Heights Chiropractic House Calls is open during this time and accepting clients for a couple reasons:

  1. It is important to create an avenue to treat people for neuro-musculo-skeletal conditions, such as disc issues and nerve impingements, and prevent their need to go to a hospital, emergency rooms, or to their primary physician. This will reduce exposure and lessen the load on our medical profession as it has always done.

  2. Supportive care for existing and new clients is absolutely necessary to ensure that there is no regression of symptoms, disabilities, or deterioration in conditions. Your current and future health status is what is important during this time.

  3. Lastly, with the outbreak, the State is asking people to stay in their homes. House Call chiropractic care allows you to receive care while  at home. It provides care following the guidelines established by the CDC:  Wiping down the adjustment table and any adjusting equipment before and after every adjustment, washing hands before and after contact with clients, as well as triaging anyone:  asking if they have had signs of respiratory disease or if they have been in contact with anyone who has, as well as if they have had any recent travel.

Besides having access to chiropractic care in your home, your health can be supported by focusing on your immune system and overall mobility. Decreasing interaction and keeping distance between people is important to practice, however that does not mean you will be healthier staying indoors at all times. You can go outside the house and not put others, or yourself, at risk. Bring wipes for any surface you come in contact with: door knobs, gas pump handles, ect. Go on walks, or on hiking trails that are less popular and have low traffic. The more you exercise, increase sun exposure, decrease stress - the more your immune system and overall health will be fortified. This can be done with respect to the shelter-in-place and the CDC recommendations.

I encourage you to use this time to focus on your health, decrease the fear around COVID-19 by exercising all safe measures, and know that we will all get through this together.

Stay happy and healthy. Please email, call, or message me any questions.

Thank you,

Dr. Katherine McCarty, D.C.
