Foam Rolling classes

Up to 10 individuals

Have you ever been curious about foam rolling, and not really know how to do it properly? Or what the benefits really are? This is a great way to group together your family, friends, neighbors, and/or work out buddies and together you can learn how to properly foam roll.

As a chiropractor, I recommend many of my patients begin foam rolling. By providing classes, we can create a fun and instructive way to empower everyone to take better care of their bodies on a daily basis. 

Foam Rolling Exercises will focus on:

  • Posture

  • Individual Needs

  • Muscular Compensations

Classes will include: 

  • An introduction to what foam rolling does, and why it is beneficial

  • How it compliments chiropractic care, your work out routine, and your personal health goals

  • A demonstration of how to foam roll

  • Breaking off in groups and actively learning together

Dr. McCarty will talk to each person about their needs, and review foam rolling exercises specific for each individual. Each participant will get a foam roller to take home and a print out of exercises. Healthy snacks will be provided!

Length of Class:  1 hour

Posture 101

Up to 10 individuals

Whether you are a group of co-workers that sit at a desk all day, or a family who have the habit of being on their tablets, Posture 101 is a great class to begin understanding how you can improve your posture and prevent the common pitfalls of being in an era of technology.

Exercises will focus on:

  • Postural Compensations

  • Awareness of workplace and home environments

  • Opening up the Chest and Breathing Exercises

  • Individual needs

Classes will include: 

  • An introduction to the health risks of poor posture. It is more than just neck tension!

  • An understanding of the benefits of focusing on your posture today, to improve livelihood tomorrow

  • A demonstration of specific stretches to lengthen over compensating postural muscles

  • A demonstration of specific exercises to strengthen weak spinal muscles with a Theraband

  • Breaking off in groups and actively learning together

Dr. McCarty will talk to each person about their needs, and review posture exercises specific for each individual. Each participant will get a theraband to take home and a print out of exercises. Healthy snacks will be provided!
